Hi there! My name’s Ryan Levin, and I’m DJ Ryan the DJ. Nice to meet you.
Will your wedding be in Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, Cary, or anywhere else in North Carolina, South Carolina, or Virginia? It will? Perfect.
As your DJ, my job will be to make sure that a) your ceremony goes smoothly and sounds delightful, b) you and your guests have a blast at your reception, and c) everyone tells you how awesome you are and what great taste you have.
How? Good question. By providing a complete music planning guide to make soundtracking your special day a breeze. By having a totally free consultation meeting to answer questions, hear about your vision, and help you prepare your timeline. By being a professional in every sense of the word — from equipment, to attire, to timeliness and flexibility.
But don't take my word for it. I mean, definitely do take my word for it, if you'd like to. I'm very trustworthy. If you don't want to, though, keep reading and you'll see testimonials from couples who had an incredible wedding and couldn't even hold back their enthusiasm. You could be next.
Prelude and processional songs with smooth transitions. Microphones for officiant and soloists. Your ceremony will be elegant and enjoyable for all.
High-energy hosting, relaxing cocktail and dinner atmosphere, and an unforgettable dance party. My excellent crowd skills will get you and your guests out on the floor and having a blast.
Complimentary music planner to make it easy to map out your special day. Choose from hand-picked selections, decide on your own favorites, or leave it all to me and relax. I can even help you write your timeline!
I know how to keep your special evening flowing along smoothly. You can just relax and enjoy your wedding — I'll make sure you don't miss a single moment.
"If you are looking for an incredible DJ for your wedding, look no further. DJ Ryan was great to work with from start to finish. My husband and I gave him a very particular music list to work with because we are such music buffs and Ryan executed the music perfectly. He and my day of coordinator said guests were coming up to him all night complimenting him on the music. When it came time to dance, he played every song we requested and the music flowed with perfection. We could not have had the night we had without Ryan. HIRE HIM!

"Ryan was literally the most organized, pleasant and professional human! He remembered every single detail we went over, followed up like a champ, and delivered a 100 star (on a scale of 1-5 if that tells you anything) service. We seriously adored him and would hire him again in half a heartbeat. Thanks Ryan, for making our day flawless!
— Jenna-Beth and Matt
"We had an amazing experience working with DJ Ryan for our wedding! When we were searching for a DJ we were frustrated by several DJs that acted like used car salesmen. DJ Ryan was like a breath of fresh air. He's authentic, honest, and clearly loves his work. He walked us through the whole process and checked in with us regularly as the date approached. When we needed a custom edit of our first dance song, he had it finished the same day. At the reception, he was the perfect MC and kept our guests dancing until the end of the night."
— Mimi and Evan
"DJ Ryan was professional and friendly from the first day we starting talking with him. He did an incredible job . . . . Our guests were dancing from the minute he put the first song on until the last. We had multiple friends and family tell us that he was the best DJ they had ever heard at a wedding. We very much agree! DJ Ryan is awesome to work with and will make sure your wedding guests are dancing and enjoying every bit of the reception. We couldn't have asked for anything more in a DJ and highly recommend Ryan."
— Emily and Joe

You can expect me to arrive at least 2 hours before the ceremony begins, and all the sound gear will be in position before your guests start to arrive.
Yes! I have enough gear to cover ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception in most scenarios without having to shift anything around.
That's okay too! I can handle multi-venue events for an additional fee.
Of course! That's part of the job. I mean, I'm happy to let someone else do it, if you or one of your wedding party wants to take on the responsibility. But I've done it a lot of times and I'm very comfortable hosting on mic.
Yes! We'll have a wireless lapel microphone for your officiant, a wireless handheld mic for readers and speeches, and I'll have my own handheld microphone for making announcements and MCing. If you want an extra lapel mic or wireless mic, we can add one on for an additional fee.
Definitely! Most string quartets I've worked with actually don't require amplification, but I'm happy to help out any musician who wants to plug into my system or play into a mic on a stand.
I want announcements to be upbeat and to the point! I don't spend a lot of extra time on mic, just enough to let folks know what's going on and how hype to get about it. Once the dance party starts, I pretty much stay off the mic — there are lots of tools in the box to encourage people to dance without getting bossy.
Nope! I have a table for the reception, a table for the ceremony, and a black linen for each. I'm happy to use a different linen you provide if you want my table to match the other ones.
Yes! Every package will cover you for all your sound and music needs for the entire event, and the difference between them is which lights we bring and how many.
I like to have everything more or less finalized by two weeks before your event date. If we haven't started talking about music by six weeks out, you'll get a reminder email from me then.
In general, I take requests if they match the vibes of what you've requested from me. If someone requests something really off-the-wall or totally misaligned with what you've asked for, I have tactful ways of declining. That said, if you want me to refuse all requests and only play your selections, or take all requests no matter how unusual, I'm happy to handle requests according to your preference!
It'll be me! I am the company.
In the extremely unlikely event that something stops me from being there, I'll work both with your planner and with my own network of experienced, professional DJs to find a replacement who can handle the music at your event. I'll cover all the costs and make sure that all your requests and info get transferred to the new DJ. If no one can be found, you'll get a full refund.
That's what I'm here for! : )
Send me a message and we'll schedule an consultation so you can see if I'd be a good fit for your wedding. Call, text, email, or just fill out those boxes down there and hit "send message". Can't wait to hear from you!
